Sometimes you just have to get out of town, away from all the hustle and bustle of city life.

Thalatta or Thalassa was known as sea goddess in Greek mythology.

The little paradise is located in Maluay, Zamboanguita, facing the famous Apo Island.
It's just a 20-minute drive from the City of Gentle People, Dumaguete City.

It's a great place to spend the afternoon here enjoying the luxury of their warm saltwater pool and the simple pleasures of basking in the sun. Friendly and helpful staff.  Ohhh and don't forget to try their Today's Specialty when you plan to visit the resort .

Hello, Bohol!

Bohol is one of the attractive places to visit in the Philippines.  The island itself boasts of its white sand beaches and crystal clear waters especially Panglao (municipality in Bohol).  It is also well known for the home of the smallest primate, Tarsier.  Many tourists visits Chocolate Hills (considered to be one of the eight wonders of the world) and enjoy the beautiful scenery.  

My hubby and I went to Bohol on a Sunday after receiving a luncheon invitation from my favorite godparents (Americans) since my fave godsister and her husband (godparent's only child) will be arriving from Houston, Texas and will be celebrating their 1st wedding anniversary.

After the hugs and kisses, we said our goodbyes and decided to roam around the city for awhile before hitting the sack. I will post photos of the place where we stayed in on my next blog.  Lemme tell you in advance,  it's nothing fancy really.

The Prawn Farm, Bohol

We are here in Bohol to visit my godsister and hubby who just came from Texas.  I have a separate blog about the mini reunion, but right now, I will be talking about The Prawn Farm.

It was a Monday, our last day in Bohol and we have the whole day to enjoy Bohol so we decided to hit the mall to buy some pasalubong (keepsake/presents from a travel).

Located at the 2nd floor of Island City Mall.  In between fast food chains stands a  fine dining resto 
that at first my hubby and I were hesitant  because the place looks a bit formal.  
Thanks to the menu placed just outside the restaurant gave us an idea of what to expect.

 I enjoyed riding their mini cabs/pedicab and walking along the city streets. It was a fun weekend getaway. 
I cannot wait to plan another trip to Bohol again.  The famous Chocolate Hills, floating restaurant, Tarsier, zipline, etc....This place is worth the SPLURGE!
